KAREN STAMPONE: HER PERSONAL JOURNEY

 

After graduating from Temple University, passing the CPA exam, and working in private industry and public accounting for 10 years, Karen chose to be a stay-at-home mom raising her three boys. She was not only CEO of her household, but also a community volunteer. A member of the school Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) serving as Treasurer and Director of the S.U.N. Center (Student Understanding Nature), she also managed youth sports teams and sat on the Board of the Endowment Fund at her church.

Back to business. By 2000, when her boys were in high school, she was ready and eager to get back into the business world and take on challenges of her own.  But re-entering the business arena after 10+ years was difficult—just getting an interview, let alone find rewarding work.

Karen knew that she had skills, experience, and a passion to help small business owners and was determined to succeed. She reinstated her CPA license, obtained her QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification, wrote a business plan, and educated herself on the latest technologies.

First Business. In 2004, Karen launched her first business, Bookkeeping Boutique, to serve the local, small business community.  A true entrepreneur, she had business cards and brochures printed up, joined local Chambers of Commerce and business networking organizations, and rented a booth at an Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Expo. There, she got her first client who is still with her today.

In 2013, Karen formed Stampone & Associates which continues to serve the small business community but has expanded it's services to meet the accounting, financial, and tax needs of individuals, as well. In addition, as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, Karen partners with attorneys and other divorce professionals, supplying “numbers-don’t-lie” support for successful settlements.

Throughout her years in practice as a CPA, Karen Stampone has stayed the course with her clients and consistently has gone the extra mile to ensure their success.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A Cum Laude graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, Karen subsequently earned her CPA license and status as a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA). With over 30 years of accounting and tax experience, she has served many diverse industries including professional services, retail, design, and entertainment.
